By Jason Lee Miller

Online intelligence company Hitwise is publishing a live feed of search term data on the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) website to give a real-time glimpse into searcher behaviors.

The top-20 non-branded, US search terms of 20 online industries, such as Shopping - Apparel & Accessories, Entertainment - Television, and Travel - Destinations & Accommodations will be featured at sempo.org.

Hitwise's data tracks the search behavior of 10 Million US Internet users across the top search engines, including Google, Yahoo! Search, MSN Search, Ask and over 160 industries.

"The SEMPO site is the first place many marketers look to find out more about the search marketing industry. Our Learning Center and webinars are quite popular, as are the research archives," said Dana Todd, President, SEMPO. "Having a fresh feed of Hitwise data is a perfect complement to our resources, and we are confident our visitors will find it to be very valuable information."

The search feed can be found in the lower left hand side of the SEMPO homepage. Currently, the feed lists the top search terms for the 4 weeks ending June 10, 2006. The top 10 were:

1 weather
2 american idol
3 weather.com
4 nick.com
5 disney channel
6 cnn
7 espn
8 cartoon network
9 qvc
10 deal or no deal

"Hitwise is excited to be working with SEMPO and we believe that sharing our data through such an accessible and important venue as their Web site will assist online marketers in their search marketing efforts," said Tessa Court, Chief Marketing Officer, Hitwise.
